The Carol Van Zandt LLC brand offers future forward art and design collections for consumer and home, paper, fabric, gifts, and any product for the commercial market. Inspired by color that melts you and clean modern form merged with both classic, retro or future inspired motifs, designs of the Carol Van Zandt LLC brand are on trend and unique yet consumer accessible.

Carol Van Zandt, the designer behind the brand, is a dynamic creative professional formally trained in both fine art, textile design and CAD. With a background in product marketing and distribution, Van Zandt works collaboratively with her client partners to develop the best art and design  solutions for their products is a realistic fashion with an understanding of today’s markets.

Skilled in rendering hand drawn and hand painted imagery in both tight and loose styles, Carol finishes her designs in Adobe Illustrator for the utmost flexibility for her clients.  She is adept at creating design coordinates and loves to create in collections.

Van Zandt holds a BA in Studio Art from Boston College and further studied at Massachusetts College of Art and Rhode Island School of Design. She studied textile and surface design for three years at The Institute for Textile Print Design in California. Prior to that she spent ten years studying Japanese calligraphy and sumi painting. Carol’s eastern art influences were further developed during her seven-year residencies in Tokyo and Taipei. She has had numerous solo and group shows in America, Japan, and Taiwan.

Carol has taught painting to young children, as well as teaching botanical watercolor and drybrush technique workshops to textile design students. She has spoken on a variety of panels about fabric design and art licensing.  An exhibiting artist for many years, her paintings are in private collections in over 15 countries in Europe, Asia and America. Originally from the east coast, Carol lives in Oakland California where she enjoys the weather, the redwoods, the local food and her studio!
